Image via WikipediaDespite the orders given by the Office of the President, the ground crew labor union Philippine Airlines Employees' Association ( PALEA) will continue to hold an unannounced strike very soon. They had already done a protest in front of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) just recently.
PALEA national secretary Bong Palad said, “Hindi na namin pwedeng sabihin kung kelan mangyayari ‘yung strike. Basta very soon. Gagamitin na lang namin ‘yung Facebook para sabihin sa mga empleyado na mag-walkout na sila.
The strike will push the management of the Philippine flag carrier to have a better rules regarding the unlawful lay-off and contractualization of its members. The strike, originally scheduled to start in April 2, was postponed on account of a certification order placing the labor dispute under compulsory mediation.
