TERTIARY LEVELS TO TRIM DOWN BY ONE YEAR THOUGH K+12 CURRICULUM

presscon26presscon26 (Photo credit: thepocnews)DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro has said that the number of years in Baccalaureate will be trim down by one-year through K+12 Curriculum. Most bachelor programs in the country are four-year courses, and some are five-year programs in the health and engineering professions and business specializations.

It was recommended that some of the general Education Subjects offered in college such as Rizal, Sining ng Pakikipagtalastasan and others would be injected in the Senior High. It would mean that all the subjects concentrated in the chosen degree will most likely be emphasized in their tertiary level. Instead of taking up 2 years for the General Education Subjects it would be one year and summer term only. This proposal would help the parents in the cost of education for the prolonged high school.

Graduation for high school would be twice, one for Junior High and other for Senior High.

But all of these shall be scrutinized in a public hearing.

A TOTAL LOG BAN IN THE PHILIPPINES

English: Illegally logged rosewood from Masoal...Image via WikipediaA total log ban throughout the country must be imposed in the Philippines. There must be an immediate House Bill that should be passed in The House of Representatives and must be implemented immediately to punish all illegal loggers that cause many destruction to the lives of the people and their property. There is a numerous effects of illegal logging such as there will be enough pollution in the atmosphere because there will no be enough trees that will absorb carbon dioxide from human, animals, and vehicles. There will be floods or flash floods because there will be no roots that will hold the soil and lots of water will not be absorbed.

In the last tragedy caused by typhoon "Sendong" there is a clear evidence of illegal logging in  the mountains of Cagayan de Oro City a part of Mindanao.Aftermath is thousands of trees and logs that is floating in the seashore. The effect is the thousand of casualties and destruction of property and lost of dreams.

Its about time to have a big changes in the implementation of the law against illegal logging, it should be a criminal case since it can kill lives of people.

Another Execution to a Filipino Due to Drug Trafficking in China

Lethal Injection (album)Image via WikipediaAnother life was ended to a Filipino of 35 years old, his name was not mention for the privacy of his family here in the Philippines. Its not the first time that a Filipino was died to a lethal injection because of the case of drug trafficking and many of them is still lined-up and soon to be executed.

The government has been responsible in promoting that no one especially the OFW's (Overseas Filipino Workers) should engaged to this kind of job. Many of them has been fooled by a drug syndicate and serve as a "drug mule" or "transporter" of illegal drugs.

Although some of them has no knowledge that they become involve in drug trafficking, most of theme are aware of the job because of the big money they are about to receive. Just to support their family in the Philippines they are still hook to this kind of job.

Its very sad to the family what happen to their relative, executed by a lethal injection, although the government have tried to save the life of that man, Chinese government just have no reaction to the appeal of our Philippine government.  President  Aquino send a letter to the Chinese high official as well to our Vice President  Jejomar Binay whom personally go to  China for the appeal but nobody  was granted.

PALEA : STRIKE OR PROTEST ?

A Philippine Airlines Airbus A340-313X landing...Image via WikipediaPAL (Phillippine Airlines ) our country's flag carrier has cancelled both domestic and international flights yesterday, and even today, thousands of passengers has been stranded from the PALEA's strike or protest.

Either of the two they really affects the schedules and plans of their passenger, most of them have important appointments on that day and because of  their actions, passengers suffers.

Employees should be considerate, they should be thankful that they have jobs to support their family and PAL administration should be justifiable in handling the claims of their employees in order to have a good working relationship.

I think the government should take actions on the said issue because it will have surely affect the economy of our country because of  the delay flights and appointments.
