To commemorate the celebration of EDSA Revolution People Power Day, Pres. Benigno Aquino Jr has announced the date of February 25, 2012, Saturday, as a School Holiday.

To give you a little insight of the celebration here are some of the climax of the history. It was February  22- 25 in 1986 when  an approximate three (3) million of people bring together  at (EDSA) Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue to have  a peaceful,  "bloodless" revolution by waving yellow ribbon tied in their arms, religious groups and leaders led hand by hand joined together and prayed for the ejection of the dictatorship by the late Pres. Ferdinand Marcos. There is an accusation that the election result of February7, 1986 was fraud and the true President that has won was the late Pres. Corazon Aquino. The protest leads to the departure of the family Marcos from Malacanang Palace to the state of Hawaii.Later in the morning of February 25, 2012 Pres. Corazon Aquino was inaugurated as the legitimate president.

This year would be the 26th year anniversary of People Power Revolution wherein the essence of real democracy has to be enjoyed and protected.
