Labor Day or Araw Ng Manggagawa is a regular non-working holiday celebrated on May 1 of every year in the Philippines. This day honor the workers in different sectors ,however, this day is also often marked by demonstrations, strikes and rallies as the labor sector airs its grievances.
The President of the Philippines a week or two before this date usually announces if there will be a salary adjustments in the government sector or even on the private for their salary wage increase, but for the moment we still do not have hearsay about the wage increase for this year because the Malacanang is silent on the issue.
